Hi out there!

To those of you that haven't dropped your subscriptions, to those of you that are still subscribed, believing in your hearts that I haven't podfaded yet, despite the difficult year, I want to say thank you! Thanks for waiting, or being too lazy to clear out the old RSS feeds that aren't any good anymore.

I HAVEN'T PODFADED AND STILL WANT TO BRING YOU SHOWS!

Yesterday, I finally got a chance to check the site, and start to get things going again, and guess what happened?

That's right, no site! No site, no feed, no show, not even a homepage for my host, Blogmatrix.com, and no email telling me what was up! Imagine my surprise! Had I been cut off, squeezed out? Had the company gone under after being overtaken by the competition? What the hell happened? And why wasn't I notified?

I was able to find an email address for Blogmatrix support, and sent off an immediate email to find out just what was going on here. I was also able to locate the Blogmatrix.com blog which informed me that they were switching over to "V10" and had had some problems in the process. To their credit they answered immediately, and let me know that in the changeover they had elected not to move accounts that hadn't posted in the last 60 days. This included yours truly, and thus my show, and page was off the net. However, thanks to Tim Desjardins over at Blogmatrix, my podcast was back up and running by this evening. When I came home from a great open mic night in Monterey, there was an email from Tim informing me that my show was back. I went to my page at Blubrry.com, and all was well. They even gave me hosting credit for the inconvenience, which is a BIG help!

So, if you're still reading this I want to say thanks for sticking with me. I'll have a new show shortly, and be doing my best to get back on track. Maybe even serious! I've got lots of work to do to build my audience back up again, and I'm looking forward to every bit of it!

It’s amazing how just when you’re trying to get things going, real life butts in to throw you off the track. Not that I’m complainin’ mind you, just explainin’.

Today we’ve got Part 1 of the Robin Stine interview I’ve been talking about bringing you since, oh, forever. But it’s finally here, and I hope you enjoy it. Add music from the Podsafe Music Network, through in a dash of Spoken Word from the Ice Cream Man, add some Peeper Radio Theatre, Crazy podcasting News plus me jawbonin’ a bit, and you’ve got today’s show! We hit the one hour mark on the dot, give or take a few milliseconds, so it should be good for somebody’s commute. Yours maybe? Your favorite Aunt perhaps? Maybe you could download it for her to listen to on her one hour commute to the McDonald’s she works at.

P.S. Happy Belated Birthday Andy! (Andy hosts the Polarbear Podcast and can be found at:

It’s stunning to watch when these two “things” come together in just such a way as to halt and change all your best laid plans. What was that saying about mice and men? At the moment I’m not sure which one I am as I run the treadmill of crashing computers, and a schedule that just won’t quit.

Of course, you don’t really care do you? You just want a new podcast, after all that’s why you susbcribed to this podcast in the first place, right?

On this we agree. I want a new podcast too! I’m chomping at the bit, but I have to get the machinery running again to bring it to you.

And I am. Even as we speak software is being reinstalled, and recovered. I know I’ve said it before, but a new podcast is coming. I swear, boss, I swear!

Please just bear with me as I get this sorted, and bring you another fine podcast that you’ll enjoy. Thanks for listening!

It’s surf music day! Cowabunga! Grab your boards and hit the waves as we talk motorcycle races at Laguna Seca, the foibles of fame, and cheap biker gear!

Our featured artists this week are none other than The Infrareds, with their brand of hot, surf music. Check them out at their website:

http://www.infrareds.com/

Check them out, and order their new cd, ‘Sounds from the Darkroom” if you like. You can sample it there as well. We also revisit the Cold War, and talk about industrial standards of the former Soviet Reuplic. We hear about the first time C7 got some tongue, and talk about freedom of expression. We take a look at Abstinence programs, and their effects, and C7 gives us important fashion tips. We talk about a book C7 is reading by author Bruce Schneier, ‘Secrets and Lies : Digital Security in a Networked World’. How does it all affect our lives? Also, we talk real estate in Harlem.

We touch on the recent London bombings, and send our condolences. We talk about the “Thrilla at the Miller” in Big Sur, that is the 8th Annual West Coast Championship Poetry Slam coming up next weekend. We also talk about other upcoming shows, as well as the newest club in town to invite Poetry in, Monterey Live. Their website is:

http://www.montereylive.net/index.html

Then on to the end of show wrap up.

There you have it folks. Hope you enjoy the show. We’ll be back next sunday with another edition of Sunday Go To meetin’! Til then, be good to each other! Peace!
